ABOUT US

Evangel Seminary Ovom 1 Aba is wholly owned by the Assemblies of God, Aba North District, Abia state of Nigeria. It was founded by the old Aba District and inherited by the current district in 2009 after a decentralisation. The school runs both day and boarding systems. It was designed to be a mission school with the aim of reaching the young people for Christ through academics. We aim at transformation of students both spiritually and academically. Unlike many schools, our admission policy is open to all with affordable fees.

WELCOME TO Evangel Seminary

Evangel Seminary Ovom 1 Aba is a group of Schools made of Nursery/primary, secondary/ technical and school of further studies. It is a Christian school founded in 1994 and fully owned by Assemblies of God Church Aba North District, Abia state of Nigeria.

Primary School

Evangel primary school runs a pre-nursery, nursery and primary section. It was created as a quality foundation to act as a feeder to the secondary section and other secondary institutions parents may choose to attend. It runs its courses up to the sixth grades.

Secondary Section

Evangel secondary section was the take off section in 1994 and after a decade grew to give birth the nursery/primary section. The secondary offers courses in Science, Arts and commercial since inception. In the 2022/23 session, it started registration process on technical education preparatory to take off in the next academic session. In the 2022/23 session, the school created a department of Further Studies for remedial and advanced studies. It boasts of hostel services separately for boys and girls, well equipped library, computer and science laboratories.

A'Level Session

Currently, Evangel Seminary is preparing students for Cambridge A/L exams and other foreign exams like IELTS, SATS, TOFEL, GMATS etc. Students who apply for JAMB are trained on CBT to face their exams to pass with flying colours.
