From The Principal's Desk

I welcome you to Evangel Seminary Ovom 1 Aba. A Secondary school founded in 1994 by the old Aba District of Assemblies of God. The school grew to include Nursery/primary section and in 2009 was inherited by its currently owners, Aba North District under the lead Proprietor, Rev Dr Emma Sylva. The school was founded with the motto "Knowledge and Piety". The vision is to continue to raise generations of youths with balance in academic excellence and fear of God. With the birth of the current management from January 2022, the school has grown to include technical education and a department of further studies.
In line with the founding vision, Evangel Seminary aimed at making education affordable and yet qualitative with a pack of committed and dedicated teachers who serve with missionary spirits.
Our admission policy for secondary school is open to all pupils who have done their basic five from whatever level of pass. We aim at transforming our students from zero to excellent level with zero tolerance to examination malpractice. We have currently introduced the following studies through our department of further studies
1. Literacy class. This aims at improving the literacy level of those poor in English language and mathematics
2. Remedial class. This aims at retraining students who performed poorly in their o/level exam and prepare them to rewrite at GCE exam
3. Advanced studies/Foreign exams. We prepare student to pursue higher scores in JAMB exams and other foreign exams like TOFEL, IELTS, GMAT, SAT, AC, etc.
4. Plans are in top gear to make our school a centre for jamb exams and open university. Evangel Seminary Ovom 1 Aba is currently a one stop school.
